UAE Intercepts Missiles Launched from Iran
According to reports, the Defense Ministry said explosions were heard across multiple areas of the country, which resulted from the interception of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones. The ministry emphasized that these explosions occurred as part of defensive operations in the air.
The incident comes amid ongoing regional escalations following a US and Israeli offensive against Iran that began on February 28, resulting in over 1,300 deaths, including that of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran has responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These actions have caused casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global
markets and aviation.
